With all this new technology with cell phones , what do u think will be next for cell phones & PDA’s?

Will tablet PC ever render laptop obsolete in the future computer technology? Why or why not?

How do I know there isn’t just some nine year old in the back with a tablet pc drawing whatever he feels like?

He loves technology – yet doesnt like me to buy tech gifts for him because he gets lots of perks & special deals. We have a movie room, billiards room in the house now. He has X box 360 & ipods (nano & shuffle), laptop and TREO . He loves cars – just bought a Viper, drives a Titan. Is not a very mushy romantic guy. I am at a loss for what to get him as a gift. He loves nice htings – yet doenst like to spend money. Has an affinity for watches – yet I cant afford a Rolex. Any Ideas?? Someone suggested a touch screen Tissot watch.
He is too busy to take long trips. He lives on his TREO and would never be able to relax. He is in a very stressful time at work. We are from New Orleans – lost everything – moved to Houston and eventually to Denver (where we are now). He has a new staff,trying to salvage info for 142 websites & company’s from the flooding – lots of preassure to perform. Designing a new office. Juggling the damands of his boss – who has taken him under his wing – and a family
He is an IT director. Just to clarify – I felt I should explain when i said he doesnt like to spend money. If he has a magazine subscription – he expenses it to his job (keeping abreast of new technology), His cell phone bill (300$ per month) is paid for by his job, His Ipods – were all perks. The pool table – we bought from a friend leaving the country – dirt cheap. Same type of situation with the Viper – got an AWESOME deal and he works so hard – he deserves it. As you can see – I need help
