My laptop should have 2*256MB but shows only 448 or 2*192! Can this problem be the source of heavy fan noise?

I am looking for a website, preferrably, that sells Sony Vaio notebooks, for a really good price. Either factory refurbished or brand new.

I have checked out http://www.sonystyle.com/ and they have a few refurbished models, but most seem newer models.

I want to get on the internet in Abilene, Tx. when I take my laptop there. I also want a solution to get on the internet away from my home. Please help me find some source of wireless connection with a toll number or something else that will work. I love taking my laptop, but when I cannot get internet connection, it is not worth it. I need to have some sort of internet connection when I am at a place that is not connected to the internet. HELP !!!!

My laptop does not have RCA Jacks nor can I add them…. at least so I think. I have heard that you can get a converter from the microphone jack to rca, but I am uncertian. Please site a source if you have one. If not give as much detail as possable. I don’t want to fry my laptop.

so that I can get connected to Internet while driving without have to worry my battery capacity.
