Laptop speakers: How can I connect them to my laptop? Should I buy new ones?
I have a Dell Inspiron 8500 laptop. The sound quality isn’t as good as regular speakers as I can’t hear the bass in many songs; most songs sound better in my friend’s Toyota. I have a set of old Cambridge Sound Works speakers that I purchased in 99′ for like $30. My laptop has only one out port for earphones, so I can only use one speaker. How can I use both? Is there like a splitter?
Or do you think I should just buy new speakers? If so what speakers can you recommend that are under $50 with really good sound quality?
Whoops–you’re right. The only problem is I’m missing the 12V adapter for the main speaker which connects to the other. Will any brand work?

Are there any problems with the hp tablet pc?
I’m really interested in buying one of these but I want to be sure that i’m getting the most for my money. Are there any problems with the sound, screen, graphics, or anything? Is it easy to draw on? Is it slower in any way than a regular notebook? Does vista run well on it? Are there any programs that someone could recommend putting on it or warn against putting on it? I want to get as much feedback as possible from people who’ve had experience with a tablet notebook and especially I want to know if anything goes wrong with them after a while and if any difficulties arise. Thanks!
sound quality?!?!?
I recently got a new laptop, like 4 days ago. I finally added all my music and was listening to some songs and i noticed that at times the sound would crack….like when u wear out ur headphones, that sort of sound. I thought it might be the headphones so i played the music in the open and it did it again with the comps speakers. i dont get it. its a new computer…why is the sound cracking like that, its annoying! Oh, dont ask me to return it, my dad got it in korea. is there any way to fix this problem because it might not be the speakers if both headphones and comp speakers do that (besides…my headphones work fine on other computers and my ipod). Any help would be greatly appreciated. The computer is a HP pavilion tx 1000 with altec lansing speakers (which is suppose to be high def) and running windows vista. its a tablet PC as well. Please. i listen to music a lot and this cracking sound in the music doesn’t fly with me one bit! thanks for ur help.
