When I use my Cannon scanner with my Dell laptop I can scan about 13 images before the computer crashes and won’t allow any more scans.

My standard specs for scanning are:
Tiff file type
300 dpi resolution
output = 8 inches wide
greyscale

I alwaysI have to reboot. I have deleted the temporary internet files and done a disk clean up (Windows XP), but it still will crash.

Are there other settings I can use on the computer so it doesn’t hold on to the temporary files?

Is that what’s making it crash?

I know of a few general items like computer and scanner but what I’m really looking for are specifics such as:

* Recommended hardware brands and models,
* Details for computer (processor speed, RAM, etc.)
* Details for scanner (pixels x pixels)
* Will I need something like a PDA
* Recommended software
* Any thing I missed above

I have a three month old Tablet that is very nice, it has a 2gb RAM, 80gb hard drive, 3 yr warranty, biometric fingerprint scanner, Plustek opticbook scanner, stand, and MS office on it.

I just don’t want this great Tablet to go to waste- I’ve posted this on Tablet PC forums and craigslist. Does anybody else have suggestions for selling it?

I can’t figure it out. Our IT person can’t figure it out. Surely they aren’t embedded in Windows! Please help!
