how to make a connection to an external vga monitor from a sony laptop (z505hs) when the LCD monitor was broken. When I opened the case, there were about 8-10 pins that used to hook up to the LCD monitor. Anyone know how to map out the pins to make a connection to an external monitor. or know where to get such information. thank you very much.
this laptop model does not have an external vga port; otherwise I would not ask how to map out the pins inside.

I have a Dell Inspiron 9300, with an LCD monitor. I was wondering if it would be possible to hook a GameCube up to it and run it on my computer. I heard that a VGA Box would allow this, but only if your laptop had RGB input capability. Not sure if mine does or not. But I do know it is equipped to be displayed on TV monitors, so I’m thinking that it does.
Can anyone help clarify all of this for me? Thanks.

I hooked my new Dell 2005FPW 20″ LCD monitor to an IBM T41 laptop (ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, 32MB). It works at the native 1680×1050 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate. But I noticed there is a shadow of everything, about 1 millimeter to the right. The shadow is inverted, so black text has white shadow. Did anyone also see this problem before? What could be the problem?
