iBook won’t boot! HELP!?
Hi there. Got an iBook running OX 10. When I try to start up, it gets to the grey screen, shows apple, runs the progress wheel for five minutes, and then restarts. I’ve tried starting up in safe mode, but the same thing happened. Please tell me there is hope left!!
Thanks so much for your response, but I need a few details.
1. I bought my computer online and don’t think the previous user sent the install disk.
2. How do you reset the P-Ram?
3. I removed all peripherals, no luck.
4. How do you boot into single user mode?
Most important – will any of these actually erase data on my harddrive? I’ve been a bit neglectful on backing up.
Stylus .vs. Tablet Pen … What’s the difference ??
Ok, I’m trying to try out my PC Tablet on my Laptop and I purchased a Stylus to start doodling with my PC Tablet but when I touch the Touch Pad area with the Stylus it doesn’t write. According to the Help guides it says I need a Tablet Pen. Browsing online a Tablet Pen looks a lot like a Stylus so what’s the difference and do I really need to buy a Tablet Pen instead of using my Stylus pen ??
does anyone know where i can download a free version of Mac os 9 ???
i need to for my iBook thanks for all the help
So I bought a PDA and now I can’t uplink and sync. What am I doin’ wrong?
I currently have a tab open on another help site with no success. Bought a Palm TX, made sure I had the proper recommended requirements to use it, followed directions, installed and can not hotsync. My system totally freaks out with blue screen of death and a message telling me the USB port is malfunctioning or corrupt, all USB ports do same thing when they work fine for other applications. I only have the USB local selected, tried to sync from cable button, from hardward itsself, from desktop. There is just absolutely no communication between the two, PDA and Desktop. My next option is to try the tech support, but I dread that call wait and the idea they are reading from a script. What can I do
mac: Startup Disc Full, What do I delete?
I am getting a mssg that my startup disk is getting full. Where is my startup disc? What do I delete? What is safe to delete? I have an iBook G4 if that matters. I appreciate your help on this — it’s my first mac and I don’t want to screw it up. Should I buy more memory? If I do, can I install it myself? I appreciate your help! I always vote for best answer, if that’s an incentive! All the best!
Can you be really specific as to “crap” and “nonsense” files? When I tried deleting files on my pc I really screwed it up by deleting the wrong stuff or important files. I am not very smart when it comes to computers. Thank you!
