The computer that are sold in America. Likes Dell, Gateway,Hp, and other. Where are they made and put together from desktop to notebook. Is their a Computer company that only make and put together computer here in the USA and who or what computer company that keep the job here in america instead of going over sea?

1. What brands do you recommend (i.e. Dell {sucks, personally}, Gateway, Toshiba…etc.)?
2. Laptop or Desktop? (I think my laptop kept getting too hot, which is why I need a new one in the first place, but you tell me…)
3. What type of processor and WHY (the why is very important)?
4. Anything else you recommend for a person who mostly uses it for Internet, writing and I would need a burner and DVD capability. Nothing too special.

i was disappointed with toshiba hp dell compaq gateway fujitsu sony and asus

imo rly good $ for specs spcially video card

I checked HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, SONY, Gateway, Fujitsu, and Acer but I totally lost so that I need your help.
All I need in that notebook to be:

1. Form Factor: convertible (screen to rotate around 180° and fold down on top of the keyboard to provide a flat writing surface as a tablet)

2. screen size: at most 12 inch

3. HDD: at least 60GB

4. Memory: at least 2GB

5. Processor: at least Intel Core 2 Duo

The price doesn’t matter

I tried manual update but it said that no new updates were available. This was not the case when I upgraded my desktop to SP1
