I’m ordering a notebook through aafes.com to be shipped to a friend in Argentina. will he get charged customs or taxes or any fees?

how long do you let the laptop charge before using? I cant find instructions anywhere in my box.

I have an Apple iBook (not a G4) and the battery always dies around 60%. I let the laptop charge to full which is 100% ans it still dies at like 60%…it is a school laptop and i don’t know the administator password so i cant really do much with it…Do you know how i can fix the battery so that it lasts longer?? please?

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1115 S-103 Laptop with XP and a battery that does not hold a charge for very long. It works fine, but the screen keeps “turning off” on me. When it “turns off”, it goes black, but I can still see some of the screen very lightly. To turn it back on, I just quickly push the little button that sends it to sleeper mode when the laptop is shut. This problem is very sporatic. Sometimes it happens every 20 seconds, sometimes it doesn’t do it all day. It usually happens when I first start my computer up and when I’m using it a lot. Is it a matter of me just getting a new battery?
This problem happens as the power cord is plugged in and I have adjusted Pwer management to not turn off the screen ever.
Also, it occurs as I am using the laptop. I can be typing, and it will just go blank on me. Again, I can very faintly see the desktop.
It rests on a metal wire shelf, so there is no restriction of airflow to the bottom of the laptop.
Jamie, if it is the video cable that is behind the lcd or the fl inverter, wouldn’t the screen go on and off? Right now, when it goes off, it stays off until I press the “sleep mode” button that I mentioned before, then it comes back on. More info, please.
The little button is not the power switch. I am not turning the computer off to get the screen to come back on. The button is the small plastic button near the LCD screen that send the computer to sleeper mode when you close the laptop. I push it once quickly, and the screen lights up again. The computer never turns off.

Well, i have an iBook, the specifications for this laptop are Mac OS X, version 10.4.7, processor 900 MHZ,PowerPC G3, memory 256 MB.
So i have quite old versions of iphotos and i movies whose versions are 2.0.1 and 3.0.3 respectively. And i want to upgrade them, without paying anything,(maybe download it of the internet or something) so what would be the right upgrades for me to get, that will suit my laptop specifications. Thanks a million.
