What is the best Mac laptop for a college student?

 

I was originally going to get the 15 inch PowerBook, but then Apple released the Pro. Or is the iBook better? The price is definitely an issue, but I’m willing to fork over the $2000 for a Pro or a PowerBook. Is there an issue with the Pro being brand new? I am afraid that I will buy it and 2 weeks later there will be a brand new, better model.

  there will always be a ‘better’ or newer model… it’s technology.

  get the macbook pro with the new intel chips… the newest model… you may have to wait for a lot of the s/w titles to be ported to the new chip architecture, but it’ll happen soon enough…
