Well we’ve got two choices here, we can keep them uneducated but semi-well fed, living in squalor and dependant on people whom many of which couldn’t really care less about the longterm well being of the people they claim to want to help.

OR as we feed them we can at least make some effort to inspire them to use their brains and find their own ways of providing for themselves, leading to the day when they won’t need any help. This project is just one step towards that, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER.

Hello I live in Nigeria and I happen to have a free XO laptop thanks to the OLPC project. First of all I would like to thank everybody who participates in this wonderful project, that allows us children, living here in the 3rd World to gain access to the Internet and learn more about the world itself. Thank you for creating this project and God bless you. I hope that soon every child living in poor countries such as Nigeria will have the opportunity to use this great educational tool. Thank you!

I don’t understand why people always have those food donations and such for poor countries, why can’t they get their own food like all the other countries in the world?

  • SonicXStyle says:

cuz we’re mining their place is one reason and importing food from them. screws their soil.
but ultimately because they aren’t developed and theres too many people so not enough food to go around
