RETURN IT. You run the risk of giving someone a getout if you 'fix' the problem by bodges. Accept you will have to reinstall stuff on the replacement and take advantage of the warranty. And... if the person at the other end of the phone is messing you around with stupid suggestions, INSIST you speak to their Line Manager, thus accelerating your complaint to Tosh paid staff rather than some idiot in a call centre. The fan can be removed my taking off the screws on the back of the tablet. Try to clean off the dust from it. It could overheat the tablet pc.
